TMB 2" Quartz Dielectric Diagonal

The TMB 2" Quartz Diagonal sets new standards in dielectric coated diagonals. By using optical grade quartz, the degree of polish and smoothness surpasses other dielectric coated diagonals, that use Pyrex as their mirror material.

Included with each diagonal is a Zygo interferogram, with a minimum wavefront quality of 1/10 wave Peak to Valley over the entire surface, after the 50 layer dielectric coating is applied. The diagonal has brass clamping, to hold your eyepieces and 2" Barlows firmly, and without marring the surface. Included is a 2" to 1.25" adapter, also with brass clamping.

The dielectric coating provides a very hard surface, that can be cleaned often. The reflectivity is 99+% over the entire visual spectrum. This will give the deep sky observer, the brightest possible images. The smoothness of the quartz mirror and the use of the highest quality dielectric coatings, reduce scattered light down to undetectable levels. The lunar and planetary observer will see the highest contrast images.

Each TMB 2" Quartz Dielectric Diagonal is serialized, and number engraved on bottom of the diagonal The black anodized all-aluminum CNC body is light and holds the mirror in exact collimation, and without any strain.

For a retail price of $199.00, the TMB Optical 2" Quartz Dielectric Diagonal is significantly less expensive than many other 2" dielectric coated diagonals, but is superior in wavefront and lack of scattered light. They are currently in stock at TMB Optical, and Astronomics.
